KFMC Health Improvement Partners Presents Attane Health with 2024 Award Recognizing Equity, Innovation
KFMC Health Improvement Partners (KFMC) is pleased to announce Attane Health as the winner of this year’s Health Equity Innovation Award. The award was presented October 30, 2024, at the Kansas Health Equity Summit, an annual event that brings Kansas equity leaders and health champions together to strengthen and accelerate the shared mission of fairness and optimal health outcomes for all people.
The Health Equity Innovation Award recognizes organizations or individuals who have created and implemented new and inventive ways to reduce health disparities and promote health equity in their community. These innovations can include technology-based solutions, Community Health Worker programs, culturally tailored interventions, social drivers of health interventions, collaborative partnerships, and more.
Attane Health is a digital health platform that partners with health systems, payers, and community-based organizations to give patients and members access to high-quality foods and telehealth coaching – all while reducing the cost of care and helping to drive behavioral change.
“Attane Health is honored to receive the second annual Kansas Health Equity Innovation Award,” said Emily Brown, founder and CEO of Attane Health. “Every day we work to improve health and empower people living with chronic conditions through food and nutrition care.”
In the second year since its inception, nominees for the award are evaluated by an independent panel of judges from sectors affected by health disparities and inequities. This year’s nominees included:
- Attane Health: Overcoming Disparities Through Inclusive Nutrition
- Kiowa County Memorial Hospital: Delivering Care in the Community
- Prairie View: Improving Critical Access to Mental Health Support
“Each of these nominees demonstrates a remarkable ability to think creatively, challenging existing systems with innovative solutions. Their work offers everyone a fair and equitable opportunity to achieve their optimal health,” said Sarah Irsik-Good, MHA, president and CEO of KFMC. “Attane Health has expanded access to personalized, nutritious food options and educational resources. Their approach – which takes into consideration health disparities, social drivers, and cultural sensitivity and inclusion – is truly inspiring.”
KFMC would also like to give a special thanks to the panel of judges, each highly qualified and instrumental in choosing this year’s Health Equity Innovation Award recipient:
- Elene Cloete, Senior Director of Research and Advocacy, Outreach International
- Geovannie Gone, CEO, GG Consulting, LLC
