KFMC and Kansas Healthcare Collaborative co-hosted a health equity webinar, "Addressing SDOH in Rural Kansas Communities" on April 30, 2024. As we begin this new year, I am reflecting on what we heard from the Kansas community through the 2023 Health Equity Summit so we can continue to address the complexities of health equity, inspire meaningful change, and set a precedent for inclusive, collaborative efforts. Let us continue to challenge assumptions, break down barriers, and work collectively toward a future where health equity is not just an aspiration but an undeniable reality for all.

KFMC and the Kansas Office of Primary Care and Rural Health, a program of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, co-hosted a health equity webinar, “Food Security in Kansas: Cross-sector Innovations,” on January 30, 2024. If you missed the webinar, it is now available here.

KFMC Health Improvement Partners, with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, hosted monthly Open Office Hours about infection prevention and control practices for staff and representatives of long-term care facilities and communal settings providers. The 30-minute calls were held on the fourth Tuesday of January through October 2023. Links to summaries and additional resources are provided for each month.

KFMC Health Improvement Partners has partnered with Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and Kansas Healthcare Collaborative to facilitate this in-person infection prevention education series for frontline and leadership staff (nurse aide, dietary, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, nursing, administration) in Kansas hospitals, long term care, and communal living facilities throughout the state of Kansas.
