As we begin this new year, I am reflecting on what we heard from the Kansas community through the 2023 Health Equity Summit so we can continue to address the complexities of health equity, inspire meaningful change, and set a precedent for inclusive, collaborative efforts. Let us continue to challenge assumptions, break down barriers, and work collectively toward a future where health equity is not just an aspiration but an undeniable reality for all.

KFMC Health Improvement Partners is pleased to present its first annual Health Equity Innovation Award at the second annual Health Equity Summit on October 27, 2023. The Summit brings together equity leaders and health champions from across Kansas to strengthen and accelerate the shared mission of fairness and optimal health outcomes for all people.
One of the goals of the Kansas Health Equity Summit is to provide participants with the opportunity to learn from what others are doing. We invite community organizations, academic institutions, provider organizations, and other interested partners to submit poster presentations to be shared with our Summit participants.
The webinar series was held June through October 2023. The presenter was Dr. Kelli Wark, MD, MPH. She is the HAI/AR Expert and Antimicrobial Stewardship Lead for KDHE and Assistant Professor of Infectious Disease at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
