Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality
AHRQ's health information technology (health IT) initiative is part of the Nation's strategy to put information technology to work in health care. By developing secure and private electronic health records for most Americans and making health information available electronically when and where it is needed, health IT can improve the quality of care, even as it makes health care more cost-effective.

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has launched the official website for the Medicare & Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs.  This website provides the most up-to-date detailed information about the EHR incentive programs.

Certified Health IT Product List
The Certified HIT Product List (CHPL) provides the authoritative, comprehensive listing of Complete EHRs and EHR Modules that have been tested and certified under the Temporary Certification Program maintained by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC). Only the product versions that are included on the CHPL are certified under the ONC Temporary Certification Program. Please note that the CHPL is a “snapshot” of the current list of certified products. The CHPL is updated frequently as newly certified products are reported to ONC.

CMS Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Program Registration
Registration for the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs in now open.  The Medicare and Medicaid Electronic Health Records (EHR) Incentive Programs will provide incentive payments to eligible professionals and eligible hospitals as they demonstrate adoption, implementation, upgrading, or meaningful use of certified EHR technology. These incentive programs are designed to support providers in this period of Health IT transition and instill the use of EHRs in meaningful ways to help our nation to improve the quality, safety, and efficiency of patient health care.   Those wanting to take part in the program will use this system to register and participate in the program.

Kansas Health Information Technology Initiative
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE); the state designee for health information technology, is facilitating the creation of strategic and operational plans for a statewide infrastructure for health information exchange (HIE).  The primary goal of this health information exchange is to enable healthcare stakeholders to share data for coordinating patient care and to support public entities in achieving their population health goals.
