Mike Aldridge, MBA

Mike Aldridge, MBA, has 20+ years experience in Information Technology with fifteen being focused on healthcare. He has experience with networking, programming, privacy and security, project management as well as helpdesk management. He earned his Master’s and undergraduate degree from Baker University where he currently serves as an adjunct professor. Previous work experience includes eight years as an IT Director at a Kansas acute care hospital where he helped lead the implementation of their Electronic Health Record System. As the Security Officer and Infrastructure Manager with a large health system, he worked both nationally and locally to help guide their Information Technology efforts. Now with the Kansas Foundation for Medical Care as the Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center (HITREC) Director, Mike is coordinating the HITREC efforts which should extend HIT services to 1,200 providers over the next two years. Additionally, Mike participates with several of the Kansas e-Health Advisory Council workgroups.

Donna Garwood, RN, BSN, CPHQ, has 15+ years experience as a registered nurse and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Washburn University in Topeka, KS. She has worked at the Kansas Foundation for Medical Care, Inc. since 2002. Before transitioning to her current position at KFMC as the HIT Regional Extension Center Educator she worked as a Project Manager for KFMC’s contract as the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization. As project manager she provided technical assistance to Kansas primary care physicians and their staff on quality improvement and data reporting initiatives.

Mike Rohleder, BS in Atmospheric Science from the University of Kansas. Prior to joining KFMC, Mike worked for 5 years in pharmaceutical sales and for 5 years in broadcast media as a meteorologist.

Lori Howard

Lori Howard, RN, MBA, BSN, has 15 years experience in healthcare, 9 in Quality Improvement. Lori has been with KFMC for four years as the Director of Quality Improvement providing oversight of the CMS QIO contract including the work done in Beneficiary Protection (including case review), Patient Safety (working with hospitals and nursing homes) and Prevention (which focuses on work in physician offices utilizing electronic medical records for quality improvement) as well as several other small Quality Improvement contracts with KDHE. Lori has a bachelor's degree in Nursing and a Master's Degree in Business Administration. Lori assisted with the coordination and was the primary author of the original REC contract proposal.

Kenneth Mishler

Ken Mishler has worked at KFMC for almost 5 years. He came to KFMC
with 25+ years of professional experience as a clinical pharmacist, primarily in the hospital setting. He literally “grew-up” working in a hometown community pharmacy since the age of 13. Until recent years, he continued to work part-time relief in various community pharmacy settings, keeping him connected to issues facing retail pharmacy setting. Throughout his career Ken has been active in the Kansas Pharmacists Association (KPhA) and the Kansas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (KSHP), holding a number of Board and administrative positions including President of KSHP. These opportunities have kept him connected and acquainted with many pharmacists across the state. Currently Ken is managing the Drug Safety component of the Patient Safety Theme of the Medicare contract. Among his other responsibilities are to oversee each of the major contracts conducted by KFMC. This gives him a unique perspective of being very familiar with each of the contracts and the expertise most of the KFMC employees bring to their respective responsibilities.
