Nursing Homes in Need
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) designates nursing facilities as "Special Focus Facilities" (SFF) due to history of noncompliance with quality of care and safety requirements under Medicare. In July of 2008, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released an updated list of facilities nationwide that have been designated as a SFF.
To assist a number of these facilities, KFMC is providing on-site consultation and opportunities to learn and become proficient in interventions aimed at reducing HR Pressure Ulcers and Physical Restraints. We will help develop and implement an overall plan of action to improve the quality of life for those who live and work in the facilities.
