Abstraction Training
The Kansas Foundation for Medical Care, Inc. offers free abstraction training to Kansas Hospitals. We are currently offering 4 different classes beginning June 2009 – May 2010.
- PPS/Vendor -This training is for PPS hospitals and will cover issues specific to RHQDAPU participation as well as basic abstraction training for new abstractors.
- CAH/CART - CAHs and those facilities using CART - this hands-on training is for you! Training covers basic abstraction using the CART tool and use of CART reports for quality improvement.
- QNet/Reports – Not sure how to run or use your QualityNet and CART reports? Are you responsible for the oversight of hospital reporting but don’t do the abstraction? This training will delve into the world of running those reports and using your data reports to organize improvement activities at your facility.
- Abstraction 201 - This training is designed to review difficult to abstract elements for AMI, HF, PN and SCIP.
