The billing stakeholder group met 3/20/2014. Thanks to all who participated. The meeting notes and presentation slides are now available for your review using the links on the right. Since there were several topics we did not have time to address during this meeting, we are scheduling two follow up meetings to complete the brainstorming on the future of billing for Kansas LHDs.
Our final quarterly stakeholder meeting, scheduled 7/17/2014, will be a face-to-face meeting at KFMC’s Topeka office, with an option to participate by Webinar. Please hold this date on your calendars for now and we’ll provide more specific details regarding the meeting time and agenda closer to the meeting date. If you have suggestions for topics or speaker ideas, please contact Stephanie.
We are gearing up to field our spring billing survey to be distributed to LHDs around 4/14/2014. The responses will help us better understand changes in the billing landscape and emerging needs of Kansas LHDs to support effective insurance billing.
As I’m sure you have heard in the news this week, the ICD-10 implementation date has changed, and will most likely occur in 2015. We will continue to share resources and information to help you prepare for the upcoming changes, and would encourage everyone to continue thinking about what needs to be done so you will be ready for the transition. There are several links on the right that address the most current information available about the revised implementation date and training resources.
Updated versions of the billing barriers list and stakeholder contact list are also available, using the links on the right. Please join us in welcoming our newest project stakeholders:
