Education Specialist
The Kansas Foundation for Medical Care, Inc. (KFMC) is seeking a creative, self-motivated individual with excellent public speaking skills to fill the newly created position as Education Specialist on the Regional Extension Center (REC) team. This position is Kansas City-based and will focus their support on our HCA Midwest Health System Facilities.
This newly created position will work independently to design and deliver training and educational programs for information systems and end-user programs in addition to working with subject matter experts to develop training programs for Health Education and Innovation Delivery of Initiatives (HEIDI) Center(s) and HCA Employed Practices. Qualifications and requirements for this position are as follows:
Graduate of an accredited college or university in education or health information technology related program preferred. Prior experience in an outpatient healthcare delivery setting including workflow analysis redesign and electronic health record implementation preferred. Previous educational experience required. Strong communication (including public presentation), team-building, and computer skills required. Applicants must be available for both in and out of state travel; some weekends, early morning and evening work should be anticipated as well.
Relocation, if not already living in greater Kansas City, is required.
